India’s coal production posts 5.3 per cent growth to 97.94 million tonnes in Dec 2024
Captive and other mines produced 18.95 MT, reflecting a significant growth of 29.61 per cent compared to 14.62 MT in the corresponding period of the last year.
A Special Court here on Monday sentenced to two years imprisonment Coal Ministry ex-Secretary HC Gupta and other former officials in a coal block allocation case involving Kamal Sponge Steel and Power Ltd (KSSPL).
Central Bureau of Investigation Special Judge Bharat Parashar awarded two years jail terms to Gupta and two Coal Ministry former officials, KS Kropha and KC Samria, in the allocation of Thesgora B/Rudrapuri coal block in Madhya Pradesh to Kamal Sponge Steel and Power Ltd (KSSPL).
