CMAT 2019: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) today, i.e. 28 January 2019, from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm). As many as 64,582 registered candidates will be taking the exam at 183 centres in 84 cities of 24 states and UTs. As many as 403 candidates have registered for the examination at two centres in two cities in North-East and 1197 candidates will take the test at 14 centres in three cities of Jammu & Kashmir.

Among the candidates are 34585 male students and 29997 female students.

Due to inclement weather, CMAT-2019 is also being conducted on 29 January at Srinagar for 187 candidates belonging to Kashmir Region who were earlier allotted centres in Jammu.

The examination is being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

CMAT 2019: Category-wise break-up

General: 24768 (Male); 22736 (Female)

OBC: 7434 (Male); 5474 (Female)

SC: 1846 (Male); 1312 (Female)

ST: 537 (Male); 475 (Female)

The NTA is also conducting Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) on 28 January 2019 from 02:30 pm to 05:30 pm for 42827 registered candidates at 128 centres in 84 cities of 24 states and UTs. As many as 377 candidates have registered for the examination at two centres in two North-east cities, while 139 candidates will take the test at two centres in two cities of Jammu & Kashmir.

As was done for UGC-NET December 2018 and JEE (Main) January 2019, CCTV surveillance is being done at all the examination centres to curb malpractices. The NTA is also making arrangements for live viewing of remote locations and recording CCTV systems at the control room situated at the NTA headquarters.

To stop cheating using mobile networks, jammers have also been installed at all the centres. A total of 3,580 jammers (1342 for each exam) have been put in place.
