The CJI explained to his daughters as to how the court functions – where judges sit and the point from where lawyers argue the matters.
The Supreme Court, on Friday, had surprise guests. Two foster daughters of the Chief Justice of India, Justice D Y Chandrachud accompanied their father to the court and were given a tour of the court premises including court number one where the CJI presides over the bench, CJI’s chamber by their father himself.

Both Mahi and Priyanka have disabilities.

In a departure from every day routine, Chief Justice Chandrachud entered the courtroom along with his daughters from the main door of the court room number one adjoining the public gallery on either side.
The then took his daughters to his chamber to show his office.
What made a day for all those who witnessed the entire sequence is the love of a doting father who is otherwise a workaholic but still as in his judicial pronouncements strikes a balance between work and as a family man.
CJI Chandrachud brought his daughters to the Supreme Court after one of them expressed the desire to see the Supreme Court.
