Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud inaugurated the Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre on the premises of the Supreme Court on Thursday.

The Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide holistic care and address physical, mental and emotional well-being, thereby promoting the overall health of 2,000 people — including judges, staff and their immediate families.

The facility has been set up with the active collaboration of the All India Institute of Ayurveda under the aegis of the Ministry of Ayush.

Expressing his gratitude to all the doctors of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, CJI Chandrachud said, “For me, this is a satisfying moment. I have been working on this ever since I took over as the CJI. I am a proponent of Ayurveda and holistic lifestyle. We have over 2,000 staff members, and we must look at a holistic pattern of living, not just for the judges and their immediate families but for the staff members too. I am deeply grateful to all the doctors of the All India Institute of Ayurveda.”

Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and his deputy Munjpara Mahendrabhai were also present on the occasion.

An MoU regarding establishing, operationalising and providing expert services at the Ayush Holistic Wellness Centre was also signed between the Supreme Court and the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

The All India Institute of Ayurveda, which operates under the Ayush Ministry, has extended its centres at many places, including Safadarjung and IIT.
