The Chhattisgarh government’s initiatives to promote rural women’s economic empowerment by connecting them with self-help groups and providing employment and business opportunities have brought a paradigm shift in rural areas.

Availing the benefits of government schemes, women in rural areas are undertaking innovative initiatives to boost their income. One such example is of women associated with the Jai Budha Dev Group of Vanbaghera, who have undertaken a unique initiative to produce fish pickles.
