The excise department has instructed officials to prevent the sale or serving of liquor in any establishment on the designated day.
“Non-proprietary clubs, restaurants, and hotels are also mandated to refrain from selling or serving liquor during this period. Rigorous measures have been outlined to prohibit personal storage and storage in unlicensed premises, with actions specified for confiscation,” an official order said.
District offices, divisional and state-level flying squads have been instructed to take effective measures against the transportation and sale of illegal liquor.
