Hemant Soren wins trust vote in J’khand Assembly; likely to expand cabinet
Following the trust vote victory, Hemant is expected to expand his cabinet later on Monday as Governor C P Radhakrishnan is likely to be out of the state after July 9.
The Champai Soren-led Jharkhand government proved majority.
The Champai Soren-led JMM-Congress-RJD alliance government on Monday won the trust vote in Jharkhand Legislative Assembly with a 47:29 majority.
The ruling government got 47 votes, including the vote of one nominated member. The BJP-led NDA alliance won 29 votes in the 81-member assembly.
After CM Soren moved the Trust Motion, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato asked the members of the Assembly who were in favour and against the motion stand at their seats one by one.

“(A total of) 47 votes have been received in favour of the motion. There were 29 votes against the motion. Thus, this House passes the trust vote,” the Speaker said before adjourning the House till 11 am on Tuesday.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand and President of AJSU Party, Sudesh Mahto slammed the Champai Soren government for not answering questions raised on the corruption.
“Trust Vote happened on the basis of the members not based on the questions. They do not have an answer to the reason as to why this situation arose. The government was quiet on the questions raised on corruption…,” Mahato said.
