The exam invigilators Rishabh and Rohit reportedly opened the paper at 9:15 am, while it was supposed to be opened at 9:45 am. They allegedly sent the pictures to Tauqeer.
“The papers were opened 40 minutes before the designated time at 9:15 am,” Joint CP (Crime) Alok Kumar told media.
“Rishabh and Rohit opened the question papers 45 minutes before the official time of breaking the seal. They sent it to their friend Tauqueer via WhatsApp and from there, it was forwarded to the students,” he added.
The three were, reportedly, detained by the officials of the Crime Branch, which is investigating the case, after raids at various places across Delhi-NCR on Saturday. One of them runs a coaching centre in the national capital.
A principal and six teachers of three public schools were questioned by the police on Saturday. The investigation team had also visited CBSE building in Preet Vihar locality to question officials and inspect documents as part of the probe.
On Saturday three individuals were arrested in Chatra region of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Police had also detained nine minors in connection with the leak of Class 10 mathematics paper and Class 12 economics paper.
Some CBSE officials are also under the scanner. Police have not ruled out the possibility of an insider hand in the leaks and are trying to get to the source.
