Karnataka: DK Shivakumar reaffirms his loyalty to Congress
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar has strongly denied speculation about his alleged proximity to the BJP, calling it “propaganda.”
Border Security Force Director General KK Sharma on Friday reviewed the progress of setting up of the Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) on the international border (IB) that India shares with Pakistan in the Jammu Frontier.
Sharma was on a two-day visit of the state to take stock of the security grid of the BSF on the border and check the operational preparedness of BSF and to see the progress of the infrastructure coming up at the borders as well as the headquarters.

Accompanied by K N Chaubey, ADG, Western Command and Ramavtar, IG Jammu, Sharma visited the forward outposts of the IB to review the progress of the CIBMS.

In the first phase, the CIBMS is being undertaken at two different stretches as a pilot project while in the second phase it would cover the entire IB of Jammu Frontier.
He addressed a Sainik Sammelan at the Frontier Headquarters where he met the jawans and praised their dedication.
The DG particularly appreciated the specific intelligence provided by BSF regarding the location of the terrorists in Sunderbani which resulted into elimination of the four terrorists by the security forces in a very clean and successful operation earlier this week.
The BSF DG also praised the troops at Sunderbani due to whose alertness a major terror incident and mishappening could be averted.
After the Sainik Sammelan, the DG visited Sunderbani and the forward Line of Control (LOC) areas of Rajouri before proceeding to Srinagar.
