In a unique case of love between BJP and SP, a married BJP leader of Hardoi eloped with the daughter of a SP leader recently. A red faced BJP has expelled the leader and has issued a statement that they don’t support such people.

The BJP leader and general secretary of the Hardoi city unit Ashish Shukla(45) eloped with the girl of around 25 years of age from his neighbourhood, who is the daughter of  a senior SP leader from the Hardoi district.

Though the police have registered a case in Kotwali police station, the couple was yet to be traced.

While Ashish is married with a son aged 21 years and a daughter of seven years, the girl’s marriage has been fixed.

On January 12, the BJP expelled Ashish Shukla from the party.

BJP media in-charge Gangesh Pathak says that party’s city general secretary Ashish Shukla has been relieved from the responsibility of the party due to his inactivity in the party’s work and conduct contrary to the party’s policy.

Simultaneously, the leader’s primary membership of the party has also been cancelled. Now, he has nothing to do with the party, BJP leaders said.

On the other hand, SP leaders have questioned through social media the BJP’s slogan on safety of daughters. Former district SP president Jitendra Verma said that his party will take to the streets to get justice with recovery of the girl and punishment of the BJP leader.

Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Yadav said on Wednesday that action is being taken in this whole matter.
