BJP releases first list of candidates for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024
The list of 15 candidates came hours after the saffron party released a list of 44 candidates but withdrew it shortly afterwards.
The Bharatiya Janata Party today released the first list of 45 candidates for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2018 in Meghalaya.
The party will contest for all 60 seats of the assembly. The elections will take place on February 27, while the votes will be counted on March 3.
List includes names like former NCP leader Sanbor Shullai, ex-Congress leader AL Hek, Binoy Gosh and Mr Pramod Koch.

Currently, Meghalaya is governed by the Congress led Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.
In the last elections, held in 2013, Congress won 29 seats.
The tenure of the current 60-member assembly in both Meghalaya will end on March 6.
On 27 January, the Congress Party had released the list of its candidates for the forthcoming assembly polls in Meghalay. The party has fielded 57 candidates in Meghalaya.
Mukul Sangma, the state Chief Minister, will contest the election from two constituencies – Amphati and Songsak. The list includes names like state Congress President Celestine Lyngdoh and Lok Sabha MP Vincent Pala.
