Sarma hailed the day as a historic milestone for Assam, as the state gears up to lead a semiconductor revolution, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s steadfast belief in the northeastern region.

Sarma emphasised that this venture is poised to attract an investment of Rs 27,000 crore and generate employment opportunities for 30,000 young individuals in Assam and its neighboring areas.
He appreciated PM Modi for his ‘Ashta Lakshmi’ initiative and Tata Sons, led by MD N Chandrasekaran for their bold endeavor to transcend geographical barriers. “This marks the commencement, not the culmination,” Sarma asserted, expressing his confidence in Assam’s economic advancement.
In a subsequent statement, he conveyed his aspirations of scripting history with the unwavering support of the people of Assam, remarking that the state is witnessing a moment of jubilation for the first time.
