BJP turning a deaf ear to struggles of backward classes: Rahul in J’khand
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the BJP of turning a deaf ear to the struggles of backward classes.
Minister of State (I/C) for Planning and Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Rao Inderjit Singh, on Tuesday said in last 3 years (2015-16 to 2017-18), around 1,76,900 students have been trained by Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology (CIPET) through its long-term, short-term, vocational and tailor made skill development courses.
While giving a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha, the Minister said around 60,000 students trained under placement linked training programmes, out of which around 82% have been gainfully employed in various plastics and allied industries.
He said the total number of established centres of CIPET, including the centres under project stage, is 31.

Singh said that setting up of CIPET centres is a dynamic process based on the demand of the state government, growth of the plastics industry, requisite infrastructure and available financial support from the Government of India and the state governments.
