Search operation underway in J-K’s Baramulla after Sopore encounter
The search operation continued for the second day in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Sunday, officials said.
Out of the 50 innovations shortlisted from schools across the nation, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur stands out as the sole institution to bag gold medals for not one but two ground breaking projects.
Students of the Army Goodwill School in terrorism-hit Wuzur area of Jammu and Kashmir won double gold medals at for developing innovative projects.
They were awarded at the 75th Republic Day this year.
In a testament to the creative prowess and excellence of its students, Army Goodwill School, Wuzur, being run by the Indian Army announced that, two innovative projects “IoT based Home Automation System” and “Automatic Irrigation System” developed by five students have been awarded with Gold Medal at the national level innovation competition.

The gold medal winning innovations developed by five exceptional students Master Moin Javid, Uzair Farooq, Basalat Reyaz, Arbaz Hussain and Miss Itoo Barika under the guidance of dynamic teachers, Javid Ahmad and Ms Humaira Rashid showcase the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, critical thinking and innovation.
These projects not only reflect the student’s dedication but also underscore the quality of education and mentorship provided at Army Goodwill School, Wuzur.
The Indian Army is immensely proud of the students of Army Goodwill School for achieving this unprecedented milestone. Winning gold medals for both innovations on Republic Day is a testament to the talent, hard work and innovation that thrives within the walls of AGS, Wuzur said Shakeel Ahmed Khan, principal of the school. This achievement will motivate the youth of Kashmir to excel and strive for higher goals for betterment of the society, he said.
Army Goodwill School, Wuzur was constructed in the year 1998 under the aegis of Head Quarters Victor Force with aim of the school to provide opportunity and facilities for attaining quality education, particularly to the children from poor financial background and terrorism affected area.
