Drone with Ground-Penetrating Radar Helps Indian Army in Sikkim Landslide Rescue
A rescue mission by the Indian Army in Lachen, North Sikkim, has shown how technology can help save lives during disasters.
Lt General Surinder Singh, Army Commander Western Command on Monday visited the Yol Cantonment to review the operational preparedness.
The Army Commander was briefed by Lt General JS Nain, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Rising Star Corps, about the operational preparedness and up-gradation of the security infrastructure.

He expressed confidence about the operational preparedness of the Indian Army to meet any threat manifested by inimical and anti-national elements.
