Himachal Pradesh: Cabinet nod to Special Task Force to combat drug abuse
The Cabinet gave its nod to rename Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) as Dr Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration.
The special Task Force of Kolkata police have arrested another member of Bangladesh-based Islamist group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), a front of terror outfit Al Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent, from the India-Nepal border, police said on Wednesday.
“We have arrested Omar Farooq alias Mohammed Aftab Khan from a hideout in India-Nepal border. It is found that he was planning to to sneak into Nepal to escape our jurisdiction,” said a senior officer of STF.

The officer said that the accused had close association with ABT and stayed in a Kolkata hotel for a few days.

The Kolkata police have so far arrested five people with links to the Bangladeshi terror outfit including Aftab this month and seized a quantity of arms and ammunition from them.
The STF arrested the two members of ABT and a local arms dealer on November 21 from a city railway station followed by a Bangladeshi tout last week.
