Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who is on a week-long visit to India, is yet again drawing massive attention with his cool socks. He, once again, ditched the common blue, black socks and donned the brighter ones when he met Mahindra Group’s Chairman Anand Mahindra. His red socks, perfectly synched with the red tie, immediately caught all the attention. This is not for the first time that he has made headlines with his socks. Who could ever forget his fancy ‘Star Wars’ socks that he wore when he met his Irish counterpart Enda Kenny in Montreal last year.

After meeting Trudeau, Mahindra was forced to feel that he had a “dismal wardrobe failure” in front of the Canadian PM.

“I told @CanadianPM (who has a great sense of humour) that my daughters would be dismayed I hadn’t chosen appropriately colourful socks for the occasion. I decided to admit & have my dismal wardrobe failure photographically recorded! #TrudeauinIndia,” Mr Mahindra tweeted after the meet.

Mahindra, who was all praises for Trudeau, in a tweet added that Canadian PM “is one of the most followed, talked about & media-hyped leaders in the world. Yet he surpasses all expectations in person. A prototype of what tomorrow’s leaders will need to be like. Whip-smart,open,articulate & idealistic.”

PM Trudeau was accompanied by Minister Navdeep Bains when he met Mahindra in Mumbai.
