BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya (in photo) in a sharp attack on the Congress said it is bowing before other political parties for its survival. Addresing a press conference here on Monday to mark the completion of four years of the Narendra Modi government, Vijayvargiya said he was confident of BJP’s return to power.
“Congress is taking help of conspiracy to win the elections either in the states or in the Centre, whereas BJP contests polls on issues. BJP will not be shaken by such allies in the state,” said Vijayvargiya

Congress’ election campaign committee chief for Madhya Pradesh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, had on Sunday indicated that the party would join hands with like-minded parties to defeat the BJP in Madhya Pradesh where Assembly polls are scheduled for the year-end.
“Congress had joined hands with CPI and CPI(M) in recently held Panchayat polls in West Begal where it has dropped to third position from second while BJP reached 2nd position from fourth. We will contest the polls in the name of development work being done by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the last 14 years in the state,” Vijayvargiya said.
He said the Congress recently created two conspiracies in the state. It misguided the people of SC and ST communities in the Gwalior-Chambal region on 2 April against the BJP government stand on the Supreme Court Verdict in the Atrocities Act, he said. It also accused the state government of adding 60 lakh fake voters in voter lists but Election Commission rejected the allegations after conducting a probe, Vijayvargiya said.
He said the BJP was a cadre-based party, but other parties including Congress were family and caste-based. He hailed the MP government and said Chouhan was liked by the people of the state. Vijayvargiya is known to be a rival of Chouhan.
He said the Modi government has enhanced the reputation of the country in the world by taking tough decisions such as demonetisation and GST. He said all the people of the country will have a house and electricity connection by 2022. He spoke of the schemes being run by the Central government for public welfare.
