Air Commodore Debakinandan Sahu officially took over the command of Base Repair Depot (BRD), Tughlakabad, from his predecessor, Air Commodore Rishi Seth, today. The transfer of command ceremony was marked by a formal parade, showcasing the professionalism and discipline of the depot personnel.

Commissioned into the Aeronautical Engineering stream of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on May 30, 1994, Air Commodore Sahu brings with him extensive experience and technical expertise. An alumnus of the Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), and College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad, he is well-versed in aviation and Guided Weapon Missile systems.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has held several key positions, including Chief Engineering Officer at a premier Air Force base, as well as staff appointments at both Operational Command Headquarters and Air Headquarters. His exemplary service was recognized with the prestigious Vishisht Seva Medal, awarded by the President of India on January 26, 2023.
