Days after apologising to Arun Jaitley for charges of corruption hurled against him, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday wished “speedy recovery” to the Finance Minister who reportedly will be going abroad for medical treatment.

Sharing a news article on Jaitley’s ill health, Kejriwal tweeted: “We wish a speedy recovery to Sh Arun Jaitley ji.”

Speculation was rife about Jaitley’s ill health Since January after he failed to accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the World Economic Forum at Davos.

The minister had undergone a bariatric surgery three years ago and also suffers from acute diabetes.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal’s message seems to be an effort to maintain cordial ties with Jaitley after apologising to him on April 1.

The Delhi CM had leveled corruption charges against Jaitley when he headed the Delhi cricket board, making it his fourth sorry in over a fortnight.

Jaitley accepted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener’s apology and along with Kejriwal moved an application before Delhi High Court seeking withdrawal of the defamation case.

Four other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders – Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh, Deepak Bajpai and Raghav Chadha – have also apologised to Jaitley for their allegations.

Jaitley had asked for Rs 10 crore as damages after Kejriwal and several other AAP leaders accused him of corruption during his 13-year stint at the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

Jaitley had filed a criminal defamation case against the AAP leaders before a magisterial court in December 2015, denying the charges and claiming that they affected his reputation.
