In the latest development, it has been reported that the Bollywood actress Sridevi, who was 54 years old, died of accidental drowning. According to the Khaleej Times, the autopsy on the body of the actress has been completed and the death certificate is out.
The cause of the death has been mentioned as ‘as accidental drowning’ in the death certificate. However, no criminal intent has been established. Sridevi’s body is likely to be moved to the embalming unit in an hour.

After suffering a cardiac arrest, Sridevi drowned in her bathtub. If the media reports are to be believed, traces of alcohol were found in her blood.

Earlier, it was already confirmed by the Dubai Forensic Department officials that a second autopsy will not be conducted on Sridevi’s body.
India’s first superstar Sridevi passed away on Saturday night in her hotel room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai.
She was getting ready in her room for a dinner date with her producer-husband Boney Kapoor before she suffered a cardiac arrest.
Boney flew back from Mumbai and went to her room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel at around 5.30 p.m., on Saturday to “surprise” her with the dinner, a source close to the family told the Khaleej Times.
He woke her up and the couple chatted for about 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner.
The “Mom” star then went to the washroom. After 15 minutes had passed and Sridevi did not come out, Boney knocked on the door to check on her.
When he got no response, he forced open the door to find the legendary actor lying motionless in the bathtub full of water, the source said.
The police and paramedics rushed to the site, but she was pronounced dead.
