A 42-year-old man resident of South Delhi’s Khanpur died on Friday after an alleged bovine attack, the police said.

Information about a medico-legal case in which the death of a man passed away during treatment was received at the Khanpur police station from the Batra Hospital at around 11.45 am.

According to the police, the man was standing on Devli Road when stray cattle attacked him following which he sustained grievous injuries leading to his demise.

The deceased was identified as Subhash Kumar, a resident of Jawahar Park in the Khanpur area, who according to locals, was waiting for his children to be dropped by a school bus when the incident took place.

The postmortem report of the deceased was handed to the family as per the protocol under section 174 of the CrPC.
