In a heart-wrenching incident, a mentally-challenged woman battered to death two of her nephews in Hargarh village in Meja police station area of Prayagraj.
The incident took place on Tuesday night after the accused Puja ( 35) had a fight with her sister-in-law Parvati, mother of the children Lucky ( 5) and Abhi(3).
Police here on Wednesday said the accused was apparently mentally challenged for the past 10 years. She hit both the children on the head with a plank, injuring them critically. Later, the children died in hospital. Father of the children had gone to Mumbai to work as a labourer.

The accused has been taken into custody.
