Northern Army Commander asks troops to remain alert during anti-terrorist ops
A junior commissioned officer of the army’s elite special forces lost his life and three soldiers were injured during a terror attack in Kishtwar recently.
Police said three CRPF personnel and one policeman were passing through Hillar village of Koketnag when their vehicle came under heavy stone pelting. The driver lost control and the vehicle skidded off and overturned, killing the two CRPF men on the spot
Two CRPF jawans were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned after miscreants pelted it with stones. The incident took place at Kokernag in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Wednesday.
Police said three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and one policeman were passing through Hillar village of Koketnag when their vehicle came under heavy stone pelting. As the driver lost control of the CRPF vehicle, it skidded off the road and overturned, killing two CRPF personnel on the spot.
The police identified the deceased as Riyaz Ahmed Wani and Nissar Ahmed Wani.

Senior CRPF and state police officers have reached the spot and security forces have cordened the area.
The third CRPF trooper and the policeman were injured and have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

Both the jawans of 164 batallion were from Kashmir.
