BJP MLA detained following clashes over property dispute in MP
Both the groups have had a long-standing dispute over a piece of land near the Mahadevan Temple at Devra village.
The police registered an FIR against nine persons including the two Corporators on the complaint lodged by the CMO following the incident.
Two women Corporators and their family members allegedly thrashed the Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of Amarwada in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh after alleging that the CMO did not invite them to a ‘Laadli Behna Sammelan’.
The police registered an FIR against nine persons including the two Corporators on the complaint lodged by the CMO following the incident.
According to information, Corporator Deepa Suryanashi of Ward 6 and Corporator Sanotshi Vanshkar of Ward 4 of the Amarwada Municipality reached the ‘Laadli Behna Sammelan’ at Amarwada yesterday and alleged that they were not formally invited to attend the event.

The two women accused Amarwada Municipality CMO Roshan Singh Batham of deliberately not inviting them. The husbands and other family members of the Corporators also misbehaved with the CMO.
Consequently, the CMO lodged a complaint with the police.
The police have registered an FIR against Corporator Deepa Suryavanshi, Corporator Santoshi Vanshkar, Durga Vanshkar, Mukesh Suryavanshi, Sagar Vanshkar, Aman Vanshkar, Ramji Verma, Deepak Chaudhary and another person on charges of physical assault and interfering in government work.
