Manipur: Army, other forces conduct flag march in Imphal as fresh tensions flare up in Jiribam
Police said that the body of a woman was recovered on Sunday after it was found floating in the Barak River.
The police on Saturday arrested 18 people who had allegedly attacked three Army personnel at Sheeri in Baramulla district.
On Friday, the three Territorial Army (TA) personnel were visiting the market place at Sheeri, to withdraw money from an ATM, when the mob allegedly branded them as ‘braid-choppers’ and assaulted them.
Sheeri police station received information that a mob have caught hold of three TA personnel and were assaulting them, said a senior police officer.

A police team rushed to the spot and rescued the personnel.
A case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections of 307, 148, 149 RPC was registered at Sheeri Police Station against unidentified persons.
The police have so far arrested 45 miscreants trying to create braid-chopping frenzy in the Baramulla district.
Meanwhile, a near complete shutdown on the call of separatists on the issue of braid-cutting was observed in Kashmir on Saturday.
However, the Jammu region of the state did not respond to the call of shutdown.
