Kejriwal promises swift resolution of Mundka’s civic issues
Kejriwal also announced a major project for the area: the construction of the Delhi Sports University, touted as the largest in the country, with a budget of Rs 2,100 crore.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that India is under undeclared emergency.
As Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said that he will not resign and run the government from jail.
“Arvind Kejriwal was the Delhi CM, is the CM and will continue to remain the CM. He will not resign,” said AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi.
“Kejriwal will continue as chief minister of Delhi, to run govt from jail,” she added.

The ED sleuths raided Kejriwal’s residence in connection with a money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. After questioning him for around two hours, the ED officials arrested him.
The ED move came just a few hours after the Delhi High Court refused to pass an order granting him interim protection from the arrest.
Soon after Kejriwal’s arrest, his legal team moved the Supreme Court seeking urgent listing and hearing of his plea against the ED action.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that India’s democracy stands critically endangered and that the country is under an undeclared emergency.
“India is under an undeclared Emergency. Our democracy stands critically endangered today. Arvind Kejriwal is the second democratically elected opposition CM to be arrested ahead of the upcoming elections. What are we heading towards? India has never seen such blatant misuse of agencies. This is an act of cowardice, and a vicious plot to silence the strongest opposition voices,” Chadha said.
