Congress constitutes panel for MCD byelections
Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Tuesday constituted a Coordination Committee for the upcoming byelections to 12 Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) wards.
Vikramaditya Singh resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party last year, saying it was not possible for him to continue with the PDP which ‘disregarded the demands and aspirations of Jammu region’.

Vikramaditya Singh, former PDP leader and son of Senior Congress Leader Dr Karan Singh on Thursday joined the Congress Party.
The scion of Dogra dynasty, Vikramaditya had resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party last year, saying it was not possible for him to continue with the PDP which “disregarded the demands and aspirations of Jammu region”.

He also resigned from Legislative Council due to serious differences with the coalition government headed by the then Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

Expressing concern over the delay in conducting the census, Kharge, during the Zero Hour in the Upper House, said, “Our country has been conducting a census every 10 years since 1881. No matter what – wars, emergencies, or crises – the process has always continued.”
He alleged that the police entered the HCU campus without the vice chancellor’s permission.
