Salary of around 10 per cent of Uttar Pradesh government employees could be stopped if they do not declare their assets by September 30. State Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh issued a new government order to this effect last week giving them last chance to declare their assets.The last date for declaration of assets on Manav Sampada Portal is September 30 and still, around 10 % state employees have not disclosed their assets. Instructions have also been given that only the state employees and officers who give details of their assets will get their September salary.
According to highly placed sources of the government, till September 22, about 90 per cent of the employees have given the details of property on the portal. It has been said in the government order that it is necessary to review it regularly from the DDO level also. Therefore, they have also been made accountable for not providing property details. The September salary will be released only to the personnel who enter the details of movable and immovable property on the portal.

It has been said in the government order that it is the responsibility of the heads of all departments and offices to register the property details of all the employees on the portal within the stipulated period. Those personnel who have been exempted from entering property details on the portal, information about this exemption should also be available on the portal.
Meanwhile, state governnent was working to release funds for bonus and additional DA instalment to the state employees and pensioners before Diwali festival . According to sources in the government, the related file is being prepared.
About 8 lakh employees will get the benefit of bonus, while another 15 lakh state employees and teachers will come under the ambit of Dearness Allowance (DA) increase.
DA will be increased from 50 per cent to 54 per cent. Its benefits will be calculated from the month of July. Whereas, bonus is calculated on the basis of basic pay and DA. Last year, state employees received about Rs 7000 as bonus. There is a provision to give bonus to non-gazetted officers only.
