In this scheme, the beneficiary receives an amount of Rs 10 thousand without any interest, and may assist them in beginning and growing their own business. “The Haryana government has also done welfare work by providing funds for employment to the needy,” Khattar said.
Under this scheme, street vendors are given a loan of Rs 10,000 as the first installment, Rs 20,000 as the second installment and Rs 50, 000 in the third installment. The beneficiary is not required to give any guarantee for this loan.
The CM said the Haryana government is also running several schemes for the welfare and upliftment of poor families. The data of the members of 72 lakh families of the state has been collected through Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).

“So far about 1.5 lakh such families have been called and 37,000 families have been provided loans through banks for self-employment. About 42,000 more families have been selected, which will be provided with loan assistance in future. The next year’s target is to enhance the income of 2 lakh such families,” Khattar added.

Under this, Rs 700 per month till Class V, Rs 900 till Class X and Rs 1100 per month till Class XII are being ensured by the state government.
