Hooghly school decides on organic farming for mid-day meal vegetables
A school in Arambag has decided on organic farming to provide insecticides and pesticides-free organic vegetables in mid-day meals.
School and college days are considered the best days of one’s life. These are the days, when one hardly cares for anything but for the present. In this process they try to enjoy every bit of their life. Obviously they don’t have any tensions and are unaware of upcoming responsibilities, or to say, tensions in future.
In these days, these adolescent kids do many unconventional or weird things, which they laugh at once they grown up. In a casual conversation with one of his friends, a colleague narrated a very funny incident. His friend, now in his 40s, narrated how they made an impromptu plan to visit Shimla with friends. The incident goes back to the 1990s, when the gentleman, along with four friends landed in Shimla, without any prior bookings.

Of course, they had little money and with that either they could eat or afford a place to stay. Thankfully, an acquaintance of one of the group members was working in a city hospital. When they approached him, even that man was reluctant to accommodate all of them in his small room.

However, he came up with a brilliant idea; he suggested that in the hospital where he is working, a few beds were empty. The group of visitors could “occupy” them, he suggested. As a drowning person would clutch at straws, this suggestion really thrilled the youngsters. Needless to say, over the next three days they had the best time of their life, enjoying the hospital’s hospitality.
