Tony Cervone will be directing the film. He has earlier directed films like Space Jam, Cartoon Network’s The Looney Tunes Show and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
The film has been written by Matt Lieberman and is slated to release on 15 May 2020.
The other two Scooby-Doo films, Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed (2004) went on to do good business, generating $275 million and $180 million worldwide. Both films used mixed live-action actors with Scooby himself, who was computer-generated.
