Acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared a picture of his theatre days at the NSD (National School of Drama) on the occasion of World Theatre Day.
Nawaz, who is an alumni of NSD, took to his Twitter account and wrote: “This ws my 1st evr theatre play in Maharashtra fr NSD in 1995 in Bharud form Directed by #ShriVamanKendre I wish to rejuvenate all d gold & traditional forms like Gondhal, Jagran, Kirtan, Bharud, Dashavatar, Powada & lot many others. #WorldTheatreDay

Well, Nawaz is the one in the green turban in the front. The picture is from his first play, which took place back in 1995 in Maharashtra.
The actor is one of the most popular alumni of NSD and credits the institution for his versatility in acting. Theatre has been an integral part of Nawaz’s journey.
In a career spanning more than two decades now, Nawaz has been hailed as one of the finest actors of Bollywood. He has proved his craft in films like Gangs of Wasseypur (Part 1 and 2), The Lunchbox, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Badlapur, Raman Raghav 2.0, Raees and Haramkhor.
On the work front, Nawaz will be next seen in India’s Original Netflix series Sacred Games and will essay the titular role of Bal Thackeray in the upcoming biopic, Thackeray.
