Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore has begun to work its magic in cinemas across the country.

After MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, this ensemble drama became the highest opening day grosser for Sushant at Rs 7.32 crores on Friday.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’ s business on social media.

Chhichhore is expected to do better on the weekend, and trade analysts are vouching for audiences word of mouth to play out well for the film.

Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Chhichhore goes from strength to strength on Day 1… Witnessed a big turnaround in evening and night shows… Word of mouth has come into play, which will translate into solid growth on Day 2 and 3… Weekend biz is sure to spring a big surprise… Fri ₹ 7.32 cr. #India biz..(sic)”

Despite facing stiff competition from Prabhas’ Saaho which also has Shraddha Kapoor as female lead, Chhichhore is expected to do well in theatres.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Chhichhore also stars Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Naveen Polishetty in pivotal roles. The story of the film revolves around a group of 7 friends along a timeline from 1992 to the present day.
