Kangana Ranaut praises Aryan Khan for choosing directon over acting
Aryan Khan is making his directorial debut with a Netflix series, set to release next year. The series, based in Bollywood, has already generated significant excitement.
And days after Kangana’s warning, Ajay Singh Sengar, president of Maharashtra Karni Sena, threatened to burn the film sets.
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of Rani Laxmibai in upcoming film Manikarnika. A few days ago, the actress claimed that she will not bow down to Rajput Karni Sena and will “destroy them” if they don’t stop harassing her.
According to reports, the Karni Sena has threatened protests if the film is not screened for the outfit before it is released in the theatres. They alleged that the historical drama “alludes to Rani Laxmibai’s relationship with a British officer”.

“If she continues to threaten us, we will not let her walk freely in Maharashtra and will burn her film sets”, said Sengar.
Karni Sena has also opposed a scene showing Rani Laxmibai dancing to a special song as it’s against the tradition.
Earlier, the Karni Sena led a long protest against Padmaavat which released in 2017. They claimed that the film showed Queen Padmaavati dancing to a song, which was against tradition.
Recently, Kangana released a statement saying, “Four historians have certified ‘Manikarnika’. We have got censor certificate as well. Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don’t stop then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them.”
Manikarnika also features Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Danny Denzongpa, Suresh Oberoi and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles.
Produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti, the movie will release on 25 January.
