Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, who won million of hearts with her performance in her debut film Hindi Medium, recalls her international airport experience where she was humiliated by the authorities for carrying a Pakistani passport.
In a video, which has gone viral on the internet, Saba recalls her humiliating experience and breaks down in tears while narrating the incident. Saba tells one of interviewers that she was travelling to Georgia, USA to shoot a song for her film.

The actor was shocked to see that her Indian crew was allowed to board the flight without any hassle but she was asked to give an interview to the authorities because of her nationality.
In the 49 second video, Saba was emotionally broken with the incident and said: “We boast about Pakistan. We say Pakistan is this and that. But when you go out of the country and the way we are checked, I can’t tell you. I feel so humiliated the way I am frisked. I remember I went for a shoot in Tbilisi (Capital of Georgia) and my entire Indian crew was allowed to go. But I was stopped because of my Pakistani passport. I was investigated and they took my interview and then they let me go”
The actor added by saying, “That day I realised this is what our position is and this is where we stand.”
This is not first time when celebs have been asked to go through various formalities at the airport just because of their religion and nationality. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan being a fine example of the scenario, who had been questioned at international airports numerous times.
Saba is regarded as one of the finest actors of the Pakistani film industry. However, it seems like the incident has left a disturbing effect on the actor.
