Scarlett Johansson in talks for ‘The Girl in the Lake’
Scarlett Johansson is set to star and produce in the mystery thriller "The Girl in the Lake," based on Lauren Oliver's novel, with Amazon MGM Studios behind the project.
Taika Waititi took to his official Twitter handle to share the trailer of the upcoming film that has quite the resemblance in terms of tone with Wes Anderson’s Moonrise kingdom.
The teaser trailer of Jojo Rabbit, an upcoming dark comedy drama written and directed by Taika Waititi, is out. Based on the book Caging Skies by Christine Leunens, Jojo Rabbit is a film about a young boy with an imaginary friend who happens to be Adolf Hitler.
Jojo ” Rabbit” Betzler( Roman Griffin Davis) has his world view turned upside down when he discovers that his single mother Rosie( Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish Girl( Thomas McKenzie) in their attic. Aided by his friend, Hitler( played by Taika himself), Jojo must confront his nationalism.

The film also stars Rebel Wilson, Stephen Merchant, Sam Rockwell and Alfie Allen and will premiere at the Tornonto International Film Festival in September 2019 and release on 18 October 2019 worldwide.

Earlier, he had also shared a poster of the film along with the announcement that Jojo Rabbit is an official selection of the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.
Apart from Jojo Rabbit, Taika also has another much awaited release. He will also be directing Thor: Love and Thunder which will star Natalie Portman as lady Thor for the first time, as was announced by Marvel Studios’ president Kevin Feige in San Diego Comic- Con, last week.
