Padmaavat, the epic movie made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was the most talked about film in 2018. The agitation by Karni Sena against the film made to the news headlines. The Rajput Karni Sena demanded a ban on the film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali but ultimately it released and impressed the audience too. Though it was banned in few states, it reached the audience and gained praises.

The craze for Padmaavat has not limited to Indians but crossed the international borders as well. The Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer magnum opus has been trending among the overseas fans too. Families from San Francisco, California went on to book a whole theatre to watch the film. Wait for it, they even pulled off a dress code of Rani Padmavati from the film. Not only that,  a video of the song Ghoomar is getting viral on the internet in which cheerleaders can be seen performing during an NBA basketball match between Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets in the United States of America on January 28.

The viewers, who had come to watch the match, enjoyed the song and appreciated it with whistles and clapping. Have a look at the clip:

Contrary to the madness about the film out of India, Padmaavat had to face backlash here. Actress Swara Bhaskar criticised Bhansali for the jauhar scene in an open letter, to which the writers of Padmaavat responded with another open letter and criticised the points made by the actress.
