The incident came to light after the man posted the video in reply to a photo post shared by Ranveer. In the video, Ranveer is not clearly visible but the man claimed that the actor abused him in front of this mother and sister. However, no abuses are audible in the video either, though Ranveer appears to be angry. The man can be heard saying “maafi bhai (sorry, brother)”.

Within minutes, other Twitter users came in support of the actor and told the man not to blame him. A user wrote, “I’m happy that he scolded you because you were wrong. Instead of filming a video and putting it on social media, learn from your mistake and be a responsible citizen.”
