Somy Ali opens up about Deepika Padukone facing mockery over depression
Actress and activist Somy Ali has recently opened up about the challenges Deepika Padukone faced during her battle with depression.
The Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan starrer film based on mafia queens have got a new revelation. The film’s story was tipped to be based on Mumbai’s female don, known as Sapna Didi. Earlier, the lead Deepika Padukone talked about the film in an interview and said, “The story is based on Sapna Didi, I don’t know what the title is at the moment. It is a true story. It is an incredible story, her transformation is amazing.”
Now, the director of the untitled film Vishal Bhardawaj has disclosed some details regarding it. He took to Facebook and announced the delay in the commencement of the film, due to Irrfan Khan’s illness. The post read ‘I am pushing back the film by a few months as both of my lead actors are down with different health problems. ‘
Shutting all the rumours about the film’s story Bhardawaj wrote, “I would also like to clarify that the film is still untitled and is not based on Rahima Khan/Sapna Didi’s life. Yes, it’s a takeoff from the story Femme Fatale from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai but as we worked on this idea, the story and screenplay have taken on a new identity and shape which is nowhere close to the above-mentioned names. Hence, it’s definitely not a biopic.”
After, Piku Irrfan and Deepika will be sharing the screen again. This unconventional pair surely impressed us back then, let’s see what they have in store this time.
