Over the years, the actor has been experimenting with not just roles in films but also experimenting with his looks and craft on stage.
He has also maintained a very distinct look both on screen and on stage. In Hasmukh, Vir will be seen playing the titular role in a very different look, something he has not done before.
Helmed by the actor himself and Nikhil Advani, Hasmukh is a dark comedy that has been shot in UP and Mumbai.
In this series, he will be seen playing a stand up comedian by the day and a serial killer at night. After having experimented with his look the actor has carefully chosen a look that does not give a stark contrast between two roles, of that of killer and comedian but adds nuance to his role for he has opted for a rural look when essaying the serial killer.
Speaking about his role, Vir said, “Hasmukh has been new for me in every possible way. It’s a character I have never dabbled with and also the writing process was drastically different, given I have previously not written comedy in Hindi. Plus this look, the character is very hinterland and not something the audience has seen me do before. So I’m excited because as an actor I like the idea of doing something new and taking on new challenges. And Hasmukh gave me exactly the opportunity for that.”
Hasmukh will also star Ranvir Shorey in a pivotal role. It release date is not known yet.
