Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has caught himself in another controversy. Recently, the Mumbai crime branch broke the news that the actor was among the ones involved in the Call Record Data scam.  He was accused of hiring a private detective for spying on his wife. After Nawazuddin expressed disgust over the accusation and called them ‘random allegations’, his wife has now come out in his support.

Aaliya took to Facebook to write about the allegations against her husband and rubbished them all. She wrote: “Pichhle dino unki biography ko lekar bhi, unki kaaphi aalochna hui thi. Nawaz ka dosh sirf itna tha ki wo sach ko sach bolte hain. Unke andar kahin koi jhooth nahi. Lekin bajaay unhein samjhne ke, unhein galat thahra diya gaya.”

Aaliya also wrote about the CDR case and called Nawazuddina a soft target since he is a celebrity. The post read, “Rahi baat, CDR se judi iss nai controversy ki to, sachchaai jald sabke saamne aa jayegi. Bas main yahan itna hi kahungi ki Nawaz par lagaaye gaye allegation poori tarah se jhoote aur be-buniyaad hain. Celebrity hone ke karan, unhein soft target banaya gaya hai.”

Nawazuddin’s name emerged after the police in Thane nabbed 11 persons, primarily private detectives, who were involved in the CDR scam.

Siddiqui had allegedly acquired CDRs of his wife Aaliya Siddiqui’s phone through a lawyer by hiring a private sleuth to keep an eye on her contacts and whereabouts, some of the accused revealed.

Nitin Thakare, Senior Police Inspector of Thane Crime Branch said, “One of the accused has revealed the name of Siddiqui during interrogation. We have issued summons to him, but he has failed to appear before us for investigations.”
