Here’s what TV show Kumkum Bhagya is all about

Kumkum Bhagya

One of the most popular small screen shows, Kumkum Bhagya has been topping the charts for reasons unknown. From unfathomable script that one can’t relate to, to characters that defy giving up on their treacherous acts, this daily soap opera – Kumkum Bhagya- has something that keeps it going.

Well, is it the star cast which has now become the heart and soul of this long-running show?

Kumkum Bhagya, which started on April 15, 2014, has successfully completed more than three years on air and is still going strong, despite loopholes in the script.

The lead characters Abhishek Mehra (Shabbir Ahluwalia) and Pragya Arora (Sriti Jha) have become the most sought after small-screen stars, ever since they started appearing on this show. Meanwhile, other characters like Purab (Vin Rana), Disha (Ruchi Savarn), Alia (Shikha Singh) and Tanu (Leena Jumani) have also become quite popular among fans. They have been performing their antics on screen forever now, but their followers seem to love it.

What is the best part of Kumkum Bhagya

While Pragya and Abhi have been married several times on Kumkum Bhagya, and have escaped death like a gazillion times, we are witnessing the same track over and over again. Having thrown out of the house twice before, Alia always manages to find a way to get back in and her sweet model friend is always accompanying her. Now, who lets a friend live in the same house forever? Like literally! Each time Alia gets her hands on the property papers, the good gang plots in a certain way that they win it back. And, the best part is that Abhi is unaware of all that is happening in his absence. He is like an absent-minded person who keeps his eyes closed, not knowing what happens around him.

The magic of “Allah Walia”

The background score “Allah Walia” has become quite repetitive now, so have the romantic moments between Abhi and Pragya. They are always falling in each other’s arms or on each other; and the cameraperson doesn’t miss a chance on capturing the extended eye locks.

Created and developed by Ekta Kapoor, Kumkum Bhagya is directed by Sameer Kulkarni and Sharad Pandey.
