Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals how his student days shaped his acting career
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui opened up about how his early days as a science student significantly influenced his journey into the world of acting.

The power-packed performers of Bollywood, Nawauddin Siddiqui, and Tannishtha Chatterjee are about to reunite for the latter’s directorial debut film. After featuring in the international project Lion starring Dev Patel, the duo is set to work together again.

The national award-winning actress Tannishtha’s upcoming project will be based on some true events and will kick off by the end of this year. Talking about her creative partnership with Nawazuddin, the actress told Mumbai Mirror, “Nawaz and I have the most vibrant creative discussions and through so many years of conversations, we thought it is almost an organic culmination that we now tell a story that we would ourselves like to watch.”

She also went on to reveal how Nawaz encouraged her to direct. “When Nawaz heard the story, he encouraged me to write and direct it. I have been wanting to turn director for a while now but had to wait for the perfect story,” she said.

Nawazuddin has been friends with Chatterjee for over 14years now. Speaking of their film and relationship the actor said, “We share a wonderful creative rapport. When Tannishtha narrated the story, I figured it would make for a good film. The idea started from there and we kept meeting and talking about it. Now, it’s time to execute those ideas,” quotes Mumbai mirror.
The untitled film is bankrolled by Eros International, Pankaj Razdan, and Ravi Walia.

'I'm Not an Actor' follows a banker who embarks on a journey to learn acting. Directed by Aditya Kripalani, the film was shot live between India and Germany.
