According to some reports, Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and he wanted to get into the character before the scheduled shoot. So he left for the location on January 12, whereas the shoot was scheduled for 18 Jan 2018, as told by the lead actor himself in a post on Twitter. He said, “Really excited !! Shoot of one of my favourite, #AbhishekChaubey’s Film starts today in Chambal. @RonnieScrewvala @BajpayeeManoj @psbhumi @RanvirShorey @ashutoshrana10 @maheshbalraj786.”

The actor left a bit early for the location as he wished to spend time with a few former dacoits. He has also lost some muscle weight to look real and learned rifle-shooting too.

The actors started shooting for the movie in the direction of  Abhishek Chaubey. The movie has been produced under the banner of RSVP Movie owned by Ronnie Screwvala.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhoomi Padnekar will be seen together on screen for the first time along with Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, and Ranvir Shorey.

Famous movie critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared a post on Tuesday which says, “Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar in #Sonchiriya… Costars Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana, and Ranvir Shorey… Produced by Ronnie Screwvala… Abhishek Chaubey directs,” on Twitter.

The story of the movie is said to be inspired by the various myths and stories linked-up with Chambal.
