Legal troubles are not ending for Lady Superstar Nayanthara and her documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.’ Following Dhanush, the makers of her breakthrough film ‘Chandramukhi’ are suing her for 5 crores. The makers of ‘Chandramukhi’ have reportedly sent a legal notice against Nayanthara and Netflix for not seeking permission to use clips from the film. Notably, previously, ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ producer Dhanush also filed a legal petition against Nayanthara and the OTT platform.
For the unversed, Nayanthara broke the internet after she posted an open letter to Dhanush. In the letter, the ‘Jawan’ star revealed that Dhanush had slapped Nayanthara and her husband Vignesh Sivan with a 10-crore lawsuit. The legal notice accused her of using a three-second BTS slip from Dhanush’s backed 2015 film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ in her Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.’ In her open letter, the actress revealed that they had filmed the BTS clip on their personal devices. Additionally, she stated that her team tried to obtain an NOC from Dhanush for 2 years but failed, hence, they used the clip on their personal phone. Subsequently, the issue reached the Madras HC.

The documentary offers a rare glimpse into the personal life of Nayanthara, including her relationship with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, her husband. Now, Nayanthara finds herself in the middle of another legal controversy. Both the legal rows are over the usage of footage in her documentary. While her feud with Dhanush is already in court, it remains to be seen how she handles the new situation.
