The family comedy is set in Lucknow.
Written by Sircar’s frequent collaborator Juhi Chaturvedi of Vicky Donor, Piku and October fame, Gulabo Sitabo will be produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
Gulabo Sitabo is a legendary pair of puppet sisters who have been part of Uttar Pradesh’s folklore. The film, apparently, is a takeoff on these two characters and is believed to be a comedy.
The film is now slated to release on February 28, 2020.
