TV actor Shakti Arora, who is popular for his role in Meri Aashiqui Tum Se He, has finally tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Neha Saxena at a private ceremony.
The news got out on Tuesday morning after the couple announced that they have exchanged their wedding vows and are looking forward to the journey ahead.
The marriage was a private affair and had only the the couple’s closest relatives and friends.
In an interview to the TOI, Shakti said: “We had the haldi ceremony in the morning and pheras in the evening. It was a private affair with only our immediate families in attendance. Both of us have been relatively free over the past few months and so, decided to take the plunge. It seemed like the perfect time, as I am planning to take up something soon and will become busy.”
With this, the couple has trashed the rumours of problems in their paradise.
When asked about his relationship with Neha and how he will keep a balance between his professional and personal life after marriage, Shakti says, “I have become thick-skinned, and rumours about my split, marriage and kids don’t affect me anymore. It’s part and parcel of this profession.”
“The feeling is yet to sink in and I don’t feel like a married man yet. Abhi tak kuch samajh nahi aa raha, but it’s a nice feeling.”
If reports are to go by, the couple will be headed to Norway for their honeymoon and will resume work after the vacations.
