Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar has taken the box office in China with a storm and continues its phenomenal run by surpassing the lifetime business of Hollywood film, Stars Wars: The Last Jedi.
After the historical success of Aamir’s previous films like PK and Dangal seems like the actor is on a hat trick of blockbusters in China by delivering three of the biggest Bollywood films there.

Apparently, the actor’s latest film has another feather to be proud of when the film surpassed the lifetime collections of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in China.

According to a prominent Chinese ticket collector, Secret Superstar‘s tickets sold has surpassed the collection of the Hollywood film on January 28.
Secret Superstar is Aamir’s second consecutive film after Dangal to do such an impressive business at the box office.
The film has become the fastest film to cross the Rs.100 crore, Rs.200 crore and Rs.300 crore mark in China. Now the film’s collection is standing at Rs.420.57 crore.
The epic sci-fi saga Star Wars: The Last Jedi minted over $41 mn, which is equivalent to Rs.261.55 crore, in its lifetime run at the Chinese box office.
The film is the second highest grossing Bollywood film in China and at the pace it is going the film’s lifetime collection may just surpass the collections of Dangal (another Aamir starrer), which is the highest grossing Bollywood film with a collection of Rs.1200 crore.
Secret Superstar narrates the tale of a 14-year old Muslim girl (Zaira Wasim) and her struggles to achieve her ambitions of singing. The film also features Aamir in a pivotal role as the talented yet arrogant music director Shakti Kumarr.
Directed by the debutante Advait Chandan. Secret Superstar was released worldwide on October 19, 2017.
