Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar has emerged an underdog at the box office. The film, which marked the directorial debut of Advait Chandan, not only became a commercial success but has been lauded by the critics as well.
The film is based on the life of a teenage girl, who dreams to be a singer and fulfills her dream by keeping her identity a secret.

The success of Secret Superstar didn’t come easy for Advait, as he put four long years of hard work and dedication in this musical journey.
Advait, who has been a close associate of Aamir for seven years, worked on Satyamev Jayate and after witnessing real life struggles and stories of people. That was one inspiration behind him making Secret Superstar.
The director faced a lot for struggles while making the film. His decision of casting Zaira Wasim, however, remained firm from the first moment.
Recently, Advait threw a party for the team of his film to celebrate the phenomenal success of his movie.
Made on a lean budget, Secret Superstar is making profits not only domestically but globally as well.
